Goddard Manufacturing & Design LLC (GMD) was started in the summer of 2012 with a mission to bring our standards of machining and fabrication to the greater Knoxville area. The name sakes of the company, Gib, Russ, and Andy Goddard started the company to pursue their passions and interests in the machining and fabrication fields. Each one having a skill set that compliments each other.
Gib Goddard is head of the fabrication and welding department of the company and has over 20 years of experience in it. Early on into his high school career he knew then that drafting and design was what he loved to do after take classes in it. From there he continued his education by attending and graduating from Pellissippi State Community College with an associates degree in Computer integrated Drafting and Design. Working at Goddard Industrial, his uncle’s sheet metal and fabrication shop through his college years and beyond he gained the experience and knowledge that lead him down the path to entrepreneurship.
Russ and Andy Goddard are twins that add a powerful one two punch to the machine shop department of GMD. Both call on over 20 years of experience running mills and lathes. Straight out of high school they also worked at their father’s business, Goddard Industrial. Through hard work and on the job training both honed their machining skills and learned from their father who was a machinist for the United States Navy. They each ran their respective departments for father’s company. Russ being over the mills and Andy over the lathes. After leaving Goddard Industrial around 2010 with the hope of starting our dream, GMD was established with the hope of satisfying our customer’s needs.
